Finally, I'll consider getting a DC/AC fan if needed.
Why? Your aircon not cold enough?

No that, just that my aircon on only at nite. In the day I'm in camp...NS mah...so in the day may be warm especially with the lights on.

A check valve is to prevent water from flowing back into the CO2 device when the CO2 stops. A bubble counter counts bubbles so that you have a way of measuring the injection rate.

The counter will only help in that you can tell how much you're injecting... but it does not in anyway controls the CO2 directly for you.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

My dad has a goldfish pond and a guppy pond where he has stones in there and the algae growth is simply breath-taking. I plan to put in 1-2 stones weekly, interchanging them every week so that the shrimps will have something to feed on.
    ----------------
Make sure its the correct algae... different algae eaters eat specific algae, not all algae.

I would be careful about introducing algae to any tank... it might get out of control.

How do I know if it's the correct kinda algae?

How about getting those valves with the controller thingy where u can turn and control the amount of CO2 entering? Does that help?

Forgot to ask, do I need anti-chlorine like Aquafin? and how about rock salt?

How much of each to add?

antichlorine is a hot topic nowadays, especially with the advent of chloramine in the water
i personally don't use any, because i've been doing water changes straight from the tap with no ill-effects
if you do decide to use it, instructions are on the bottle

    rock salt is unnecessary
unless you have disease in your tank, i don't recommend having salt treatments
or you're trying to alleviate nitrite poisoning

sze, do not try to stop the flow, u dun want to foul the house with beer smell.. DIY 'cannot' be controlled.. those valves u mentioned r for compressed cylinders

You can control using a normal 2 way split with valve (those that are used with air pumps). Connect 1 end to the tube leading to the tank and leave the other open.

Control the flow in to the tank by adjusting the CO2 through the open end.

Hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Don't close the valve to limit the flow into the tank. But rather, open the other valve that let some CO2 escape to the air.

in order to reduce the CO2 into the tank at night? Is this to prevent CO2 poisoning?

If my tank has mostly shrimps, will CO2 poisoning affect them? There's no such thing as too much CO2 for plants right?

Shrimps are vulnerable to CO2 overdose as well.. (pH crash will kill them as well)
As for plants although they love lots of CO2, not all plants love very low pH values..pH drops as you dose CO2..so the more you dose the faster and harder it drops..till a point when your buffer level could no longer buffer liao man..kaboom..crash....dead fish and shrimps is what you will see plants soon and then come the slow death of your plants that cannot take low pH.

icic, okay, then like that at night i'll stop CO2 flow into the tank and let it just flow out to my room....haha...then i get CO2 poisoning!

You can try aerating the tank instead? If you want some CO2 for yourself..[] don't forget to keep your room well-ventilated..we sure don't want to lose an aquarist. Anyway, the CO2 is just too little to kill a human being i guess.

Thank God![:0] Otherwise, we may be killed by opening a can of beer too many in the room.[]

    3) 'Cool-white' or 65,000K colour flourescent lights. For riccia, you'll need at least 3Watts/US Gallon of flourescent or PL lights. So take your tank dimensions and calculate the volume in US Gallons and multiply by 3 for the total wattage you need for your tank.

    ...

    6,500K is Daylight not Cool-White.
