    Hi Guys,

Due to my clumsy hands, the whole top part of the Ehiem 2028 fell on the impeller which was underneath it, resulting in 2 fins broke.

    Questions
    (1) Is using 2028 for a 2 x 1 x 1 ft tank overkill ?
    (2) The Impeller fins broke, can i still use them, (presently using, no choice)
the flow seems to be slower.

Is 36 watts PL light for 8 hrs enough for APP and Red tiger lotus ?

    Thank you for all answers.

    Jake

you can easily get the replacement from NA, C328 etc.

I dont think 36Watts fr 2ft tank is enough for APP, it will grow but probably upward instead of criping

It is enough. I have 11W on 1ft cube and APP crawling.
    What substrate you are using?

    Hi Jake,

    (1) 2028 for a 2x1x1 is definitely way overkill.
This filter is rated at 1050l/hr output & suitable for tank size up to 600l.
With such a powerful outflow, would your 2 feet turn into a swirl pool ?

Not necessarily, if you have external reactor, chiller, UV and very dense plants. That will reduce the flow considerably

    You are very right

I do have an external reactor, thus the flow is slowed.
Plus the opening of the output, i use the cage like thing (like the one at the imput) to difuse the flow.
