    I'm not sure what u mean by loose form.. but I brought my root monster at Nature.. have u try the place?

    There are two versions:
    1) Loose form like green beans. I thought they are great for mixing with gravel if one does not want to use base fertiliser.
    2) Chunky type made by "glueing" the loose ones onto a core, making it look like a corn. These are mostly placed at the roots of fertiliser-hungry plants like Sword Plants/ Lotus etc.

    the horti one that sells for abt 2$ at ntuc looks very similar to roots monster. and its not glued together

    Agree with RMX that those slow release fert seems to be the same as root monster, not sure if its repacked by QianHu and sold as OceanFree??

    Juggler, u can try petmart, they always have it. If u still can't get hold of the base fert(loose pellet form),then get the chunky ones and break them up by hammering.[]

    Saw a packet at lfs near sunset way(near Maju Camp). Name of shop is Swee Seng(or something like that..). There is a pet clinic beside it. Selling at $17, last packet. Hope this help. And yes, it's the root monster loose type.
