Hi everyone, got some questions to ask.
recently changed my lighting to a 1x55w PL light on my 2ft tank. What happened was that my moss on driftwood became infested with slime algae.. Re-tied the driftwood in the end. Is there anyway i can control this algae? Im growing some HC in my tank as well.. What lighting should I adopt if growing high and low light plants together in the same tank? My tank's co2 is at 1.5bps.

    Thanks!

its on the mosses.. from what i know it covers the mosses, thus denying it light to grow.. is there anything wrong with the water condition that caused this slime algae to form?

    here's my tank specs:
    Temp:28-30deg
    light: 2ft 1x55w pl
water change: 30% once a week
    fertilizer dosage:none

Do you have OTOs in your tank?
Suggest you get a few if you don't have any as they cleared up most algaes in my tank.

yep got 4 otos. however, i dont think they can remove slime algae as it is toxic.. read up about it, the 'algae' is actually a bacteria or something, kinda looks like a film that covers my mosses and some parts of my tank wall. anyone has any effective way of curing this?
