ADA wood is just plain hardwood. The cheap stuff that breaks down over time is softwood. I believe we're all familiar with this stuff since it was in sec 1 D&T class
So i'd say yes, i do use hardwood for my scapes but i don't use ADA sold hardwood.
1) Is it worth paying more for ADA driftwood?
Way too expensive....
2) Does it look damn good in your tank?
An expensive piece or extremely good looking wood doesn't necessary make your tank beautiful, there are other attributes to it. Mainly depending very much on the aquascaper's creativity.
3) If given the chance that the price is lower and affordable, would you buy ADA driftwood over the normal cheap DW?
Why not.... but how cheap would it get?
4) What sizes do you look for? S, M, L or XL
If I'm still holding on to my 422, I would go for M to L but never XL. Smaller size gives me more flexibility. Anyway I always believe that small hooks can catch big fish but big hooks cannot catch small fish...![]()

Eman, please kindly register as a Merchant if you are interested in promoting wares to the members of the forum.
I think your poll title needs to be changed since you are promoting/seling ADA look alike woods instead of the original ADA woods. Its misleading people into thinking they are getting original ADA woods at a cheaper price.
If i am not wrong, i think ADA tag their woods with an imprint of the ADA logo by burning onto the surface of the wood.

I'm still awaiting registration, will put up a separate thread.
Anyone using ADA wood have seen any imprints on their piece of wood?

The poll options are not very meaningful.
Option 1 and option 2 are basically the same thing. if you are using it it should be in your tank. And the reason why you would use it is because it like it.
Option 3 and option 4 are also the same. If you are not using it, it's because its expensive or not worth it. Therefore you would prefer normal, cheaper driftwood.
Just what is the purpose of this thread?
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
You just boil wood to process it, find the densest stuff, with the most character. That's about it.
Typically, it's cheaper to find it locally yourself.
Of course I live somewhat close to the mouth of a large river where lots of wood washes up
The wood you have locally may be more unique etc and provide local flare.
