How about those coffee filters? The one made from paper. I was reading old thread some where that it can be use to filter green water. Never try though.
Hi Guys
Anyone with recommendation on the filter medias to get if i want to remove fine particles in my tank which conventional filter medias are unable to?
Also, will loading one of the ehiem filter trays with diatom filter medias work?

Diatomus earth CANNOT be loaded into your Eheim filters. You will mess up your tank.
You can try using coffee filter paper in your Eheim filter for a day or two. watch for clogs. Alternatively, if you know how to use a diatom filter, then that will be the best bet.
However, you need to analyze two things. What is causing the problem and what is wrong with your current filtration.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I was hoping to find something that i can load onto the filter trays and just leave them there.
After i did a rescape on my aged ADA soil, the particles that got stirred up never seem to settle down. Washed the current filter medias and changed the wool but couldn't help too.
As for water flow. Outlet is by means of internal reactor (dennerle cyclo) with the outlet close to the water surface. Inlet by means of surface skimmer, which i recently changed to the same side of the tank. Before they were on opposite ends. Nothing seems to help improve the situation.

Could be due to misplacement of the fine filter wool in the filter? There could be gaps which the fine particles are flowing through untrapped. Can check?
It happened to my filter once. And I used a bit more wool to cover the gaps and solved the problem.
