    hi people,

I'm looking to get a 2ft tank and i went down to a lfs and they are selling the 2 ft tanks at 160+ (it comes with light and filter, but i think still it's a bit ex). They do sell the cheaper version however the front is not curve on the edge.(it's join together using silicon)

I saw this nisso tank at a pet shop (they don't sell it) and it look decent enough with the curve edge at the front.
I done a seach and i think nisso tank is quite cheap as well.

Anyone know where i can get it? or any similar 2ft tank with curved front edge at under 60?

Is nisso tank good? Or i have to get those expensive tank so they will not leak or break?

You can try yishun 900 plus or yishun 618. I bought my a couple months back with the curved edge.

    Hope this help.

I had that 2ft Nisso tank with curve front in 2004. Costed about $90+. My mom bought it from Yishun 101 for her Luo Han Fish but after it died I used it for planted.

I would suggest all flat and siliconed. The curved corners distorts the view and the black plastic rims are quite annoying.
    I'm back!

Besides Nisso, you can consider the Five Plan curved edged 2 ft tanks. Same built quality. Probably around S$40 to S$70 dollars, depending on where you buy and the height of the tank.

C328 and Clementi Ave 2 has them.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Does the Curved corners really distorts view? I thought the siliconed edge was ugly and the curved edge can actually improved the look. Not this case?

I guess it really depends on what you like... different people have their own views.

In my views... curved coners will distort the view a little but it does look good from the front. I don't mind a silicon edges front but I personally don't like white silicon. I prefer black silicon...

True, I have a 3ft curved edge tank and the view is distorted. Looking for another tank with silicon edge now.

Seems like silicon edge is the more "preferred" choice. Any idea where i can get one with black silicon edge? I suppose it will be more expensive since it's less common?

I am sure NA has... even if they don't have in stock... it can be made to order... call them to ask

I saw from another thread that Biotope also can custom made... check it out also.

That is not made of real glass... it is fibre glass (plastic)

What type of tanks are those GeX tanks mentioned? They have different product lines.

If those are Five plan tanks, they are glass.

Knock on the tank (lightly)... you can tell the sound difference... glass has a shaper tone than plastic (you need to really try it to tell the difference... hard to explain... do your own experiment )... at least this is how I tell if it is glass.

Glass usually shattered when crack under pressure... plastic don't shattered but just line cracks.
