    nope pH did not go up to original level after adding purigen.

    yes. i placed my purigen in a fast flowing portion of my sump tank.
    good to have multiple layers of stocking... a hole appeared in my purigen bag over time and some purigen got sucked into the return pump. the tank was like having a "snow storm" for awhile
