Is there any brand of cooling fan that can fit onto the GEX tank that have bracings on the rim? I'm currently looking for one, i actually find it hard to locate a suitable fan for my tank.

Hi bro...i have the exact same problem as you, except mine is a nisso tank?
Trust me,you're better off getting a DIY fixture made!I already broke so many stands that i lost count! DIY has its pros and cons though...It may look very crude but at least it fits nicely without constant fear of it breaking or falling into your tank when you're not around? I did mine with a simple pair of curtain "hooks". Got the picture in one of the older threads here,do a search and you'll find it.Good luck!

i DIYed mine. its similar to the one http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=37672

mine is made of aluminium rod of diameter 3mm bought from kelantan lane. to protect the glass from being scratched, i used tubing for air hose and slotted it into the rod.

I DIY'ed something similar using wire cloths hanger. Diameter is just nice and comes with plastic coating. Can even reuse the end caps to cover the ends. I bend mine using just 1 piece with the 2 open ends for dropping the fan in. Put the 2 end caps in to secure the fan.

i diyed mine with bubble rods attached to the 2 sides of a 12cm PC thermaltake fan. Water temperature around 26-27 right now. It drops to 25 if its raining.

Ic. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I am actually lucky enough to find a fan that can be fitted onto my GEX tank. Now my tank temperature is 26degrees throughout the day, bad thing is that the fan is abit noisy though.
