Just noticed the nitrate reducer in C328 selling at 9.5 for 65g. at 8gp per 10 litres. I probably need 3 bottles. but i'm wondering if anyone tested it b4.

what about easy balance? anyone used it? is it pure snake oil?

the general concensus in the US is YES
some lfs owner who happened to be a member of AC did a test, came back with non-conclusive results (ie both the tank with easybalance and the one without had the same nitrate readings at ard the same time)
    i wouldn't bother with it

I have contacted Tetra by e-mail regarding this product. This product does not reduce nitrates. It can only limit nitrates to 100~150ppm. According to them, fishes can take up to 100+ ppm of NO3 without problems.

    It does reduce phosphates rather.

    Check this and this.
