What kind of fungus are you talking about? Perhaps you can show a pic?

Cook/boil it. It is the best way to sanitize wood. Yamato might eat it. Inject H2O2 close to it might also kill it.

It'll go away after awhile. Most of us have experienced it.

Someone mentioned in another thread that it's suppose to be bacteria colony I guess probably feeding on whatever stuff is on the wood.. So at least you know that the bacteria in your tank is alive and kicking.

It could be slime from the dw... mine have some slime as well but will be gone when the wood is in water for some time... the wood needs 'seasoning'

Btw, my OTOs cleared them for me as well

I also encountered this thing.I got it when I introduced new bulb of aponogeton I got.First it was the bulb that has this slimy white thing,my driftwood.I didn't bother to check on it and just let my shrimps and pleco handle it.Then the it attacked the rhizome of my crypts, and eventually killed them all.I have to reset the tank and clean everything before it wiped out everything.

Those fungus are harmless but they can be unsightly. You can throw in Yamato & oto, they will clear them for you.

At first I let the shrimps and the bristlenose do the job for me.I just let a month past but when I saw that my crypts are dying,I totally reset the whole tank before they can do anymore damage to other pants.because I saw them already in my anubias.

Put a bag of malayans in your tank. They should clear the fungus in no time. I loaded 50pcs into my tank and all fungus gone in a few days.
