How to introduce shrimps into tank?

what is the proper way to introduce shrimps into tank

1. How long should I leave the bag in the tank ?
2. Do I have to switch off the lights ?
3. My tank water is 25deg, do I need to mixed tank water with bag water ?
4. I do not want to pour bag water into tank, can I pour most of it out and keep mixing it with old tank water ?

my 20+ yamato left 5 after 2 days, and I am worried about my procedure for introducing shrimp into my cold tank (25deg)

please advise
