Hi, as the subject matter implies, I am seeking advice on what kinds/ brands/types of fertiliser are best for cultivation of planted tanks. ?[] I am thinking of keeping glosso as my foreground plants and stmmed plants as my background. Any suggestion?

I heard that we oughta mix the base fert with gravel or fine sand at the bottom (to abt 3cm thick) folloed by coarser sand/ pea gravel to a height of 7cm. is it true?

What we do here mostly is add base fertilizer then followed by gravel small enough to hold plants but not too small until the roots can't breathe. Go for more base fert if you wanna grow those fert hungry plants and just enough gravel to ensure that no fert seeps into the water column.

You should use base fert at the bottom, about 1 to 2 inch in front sloping to about 3 to 4 inches at the back of the tank. Followed by a 1 inch layer of 2-3mm diameter gravel above that.

No need to mix the fert with gravel. Gravel that is too big is not good for plant roots.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
