I have just setup a 2ft planted tank 2 week plus. I always saw a layer smokey layer on top of the water. I try to scope it out but it still there. I don't think is oil. Just changed 30% water on Saturday since setup 2 weeks ago.

    I am using :-
    1) Lapis Sand
    2) JBJ Substrate Nutrient
    3) Canister Filter
    4) Driftwood x2
    5) DIY CO2 with diffuser ( sugar, soda, yeast & water)
    6) DIY Fan x2
    7) Java Moss, HC, etc (not much plants now)
    No fishes.
    9) 55w PL light

    Any kind advise ?

    Thanks in advance...

    Cheers...

thanks for all the kind advise.

will try to get platy or mollies but have asked around Y618 and polyart, seem like mollies is not very popular nowaday. I am looking for those normal type of black mollies for my other tank. Anyone come across it ?

    Thanks...
