    HOLY!!! I am so excited!
Previously, I found a few fry caught in my air bubble filter medium...really tiny and small!! I was petrified! First time seen a fry that small!!! I rush down to clementi and get a internal breeding tank and put in the 2 feet shrimp tank!!

I use a small net and seek and rescue all small white transparent baby shrimps!! caught 6 and put inside the breeding tank! Than I surveyed the whole cherry population...wah lau! 5 of them carrying eggs!!!

put them in the breeding tank and I waited...forever!! Waited almost 8 hours...till midnight..my friend called me to go out the next day..and I was filming my mother shrimp...while it gave birth!!! HOLY

The video shows 2 baby coming out...one is at 52 sec another one is 1.20...the last one is fake one ...just move from left to right...haha

YAY!! Hope they survive 8 weeks to become big enough to be release out of the breeding tank!

Thanks! I had taken them out of the breeding tank and replaced the air bubble filter to be shrimp baby friendly

They are now happily roaming around my 2 feet long tank with no fear or trapping in the bubble filter yay!

    Well done, Simon .
You must have been waiting patiently in the "delivery ward" just like a proud father should do .

I never got to see my cherry shrimps give birth. I just notice their dummy flatten the next day and suddenly the tank is full of shrimplet.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Wink

    Thanks!!!
Now my shrimp tank is full of life with shrimplets practically everywhere. I also bought some tiger shrimps, blue shrimps, sakura shrimps too.

The bubble filter I use is the same that C238 used for their CRS! I am so happy my friend gave one to me because he had moved to marine instead of freshwater

i also caught 4 small freshwater lobster at little guiling in Singapore by using a basket to dig the side of the shallow shore...(not the rocks area but the inside left entrance there)

Btw, lobsters love cherry shrimps. found out the hard way. no amount of hiding places will make any difference.

lobsters will eat live shrimps. they may look slow and lumbering but they are pretty good at nabbing sleepy shrimps (and fishes) at night...and they got lots of arms and legs to do this.

i once lost a population of 50 cherries this way. It only took under a week. they simply disappeared.

Oh I see, no wonder those dead shrimps the lobster never really eat totally...they like LIVE food!

I had just purchased some lobster pallets for them to munch for now...
