Never tried diffuser before. But temperature plays a part too as cold water holds more CO2.
I find there's more pearling in the office tank which is air-con cooled compared to my home tanks. Both using similar setups with CO2 reactor. Difference is temperature.
Another thing the author said that glass/ceramic diffusers an work with DIY CO2. I think quite hard. The DIY CO2 pressure is not sufficient.
BTW - I also run my CO2 24/7 as I don't own a solenoid. I set a low bubble rate.
