I'm planning to go out and get some test kits for my planted tank.

I currently have a pH and NO2 test kit. What else do I need? kH, NO3?

NO3 (Nitrate) and PO4 (Phosphate). KH only if its important to you.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

You probably need KH test kit to test for the amount of buffer in your tank water...before and after water changes (Gives you an idea of when and how much your buffer will drop with each water change. Which will no longer need the KH kit after you get a hang of it.)

Just went out to get the Tetra 5 in 1 Strip test kits and I must say it rocks! Testing is a breeze, however I did something stupid by dipping the strip right into my tank. Hope the coloring won't affect my fish.

Glad to say that NO2, NO3 are at 0. pH at 7.

Ermmm..those 5 in 1 stuff are not accurate at all in my experience in using it...better to get pH test pen if you want accurate pH reading and individual test kits for the particular stuff....

Seems okay to me cos I also tried using indivdual test kits too and they yield the same results.`
