    Hi All,

I am looking for plants planting on the base. I am currently using Echinodorus tenellus (ET) & Hemianthus callitrichoides ''Cuba'' (HC) but ET seem like not growing and is getting rot and as for HC, it always float up.

I am looking for plants that don't need much Co2 and easy maintain.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers...

Bro, use tooth pick break it but not until it seperate into 2 and use it to hold HC onto the gravel. You should also remove those bottom dweller fish if any.

If you don't want to add CO2, you might want to got for low tech (2W/gallon). but not many if not none of the carpet plant will go on low tech (E.tenellus will). Or you can use moss as a carpet.

    Cryptocoryne Parva.

You won't get a thick blanket but at least covers some of the base.

Apology. I am poor in Cryptocoryne identification. How about broad leaves kind which I saw in many display thanks such as Green Chapter and LFS@Boon Keng.

I've found this site to have very good pictures of aquatic plants. Check out the C.Parva in there.I've used it in non Co2 tanks with base fertilizer and it has never died on me.

The most common crypt used is probably C. Wendtii which has a height good for mid levels.

Ecoculture and Midori has the widest range of crypts on offer that I've ever heard of.
