I got problem in priming an external filter canister ?

I am new to the external canister filter system. I got problem priming the professional Jabao 912 external canister. Can anyone help? By the way, the tank is on the lower tier of a rack and it is almost the same level as the canister. Is there any way to get the canister filter working ?

I am using a atman 3336 for my lower tier tank, only about 5" from the floor, I put the canister on the floor. It work ok for me. Is the professional Jabao 912 self priming? You may like to call me on this. check you pm.
