u can try H20 or pet safari.. but expect to pay more.. glosso r light hungry so make sure u got enuff lightings, or else they will start growing upwards
You can try Aquamart to see if they have anymore left over Tropica glosso.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Hi Simon, forget about pet safari, their price is too ex$$.[] The lightings is not a problem, I've got enuff for them.
But do you mean that they will not grow upwards if have enuff lightings? [:0]
Thanks.[]
most of the time petmart sell glosso. $5/package. More than enough, in fact too much until you cannot finish. Best is two person can share.

first you plant them in a grid 2cm apart (like fall in parade square), once you finish the whole parade square, fall in the remainder in between the grid. The denser, the faster you get a carpet![]()
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

My older glosso leaves tend to be covered with this black coating causing the leaves to die. The glosso dun even have a chance to carpet my foreground. I think it just needs sufficient lighting for it crawl along the gravel. Overpowering lighting will encourage those algae to cover the leaves. *sigh*. No luck with glosso and hairgrass.
kingpin, you need to use nutrient mop to suck up excess nutrients. Have to play with N P & K I guess. I was lucky, probably the big bush of bacopa and gratiola did the job, BBA disappeared out of the blue, so it can be done. Either be good at chemistry or get lucky!![]()

I have a lot of those floating plants to shade the glosso and remove excess nutrients. Dun know what was the floating plant you gave me with the najas, but it is multiplying in my tank. My tank parameters are ok leh.
FE=<0.1ppm
NO3=5-10ppm (Cannot really differentiate the colours from my JBL kit)
No PO4 test kit (Issit necessary since I have no serious algae outbreak yet?)
KH=5
PH=6.8-7
GH=6
Maybe it is not the problem with my water column but my substrate. There might be a chance that the roots of the glosso cannot reach the base fertilizer right? Hence accounting for the slow growth. Someone mentioned JBL base fert not suitable for growing glosso. However, Oceanfree brand base fert shows positive results.
You mean the water lettuce look-alike? NOt sure what that's called I got it from Chan along with some shrimps. My glosso was grown on JBL, shouldn't be a problem, and that was when I don't even add any other supplements.
Your substrate is OK since your tiger lotus is doing fine. My gravel was 3cm thick and that was OK with the glosso.
