Can help you out. Cause he got some from me. There're A. elizabethae, A. wilhelmi, A. gibbceps, A. caca and A. iniradae.
Outspoken, I can see that you're really pumping them up.
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way

Thanks wilson. well the wilhelmi seems to be getting most of it.since this is a male tank, need to watch out for any male that is unable to adapt.

Since they are all so territorial, wouldn't it create a problem with all males?

Well some people won't recommend it because of the aggression but i find it safe unless u introduce a pair inside then trouble will arise.Have experience it before, had a Ap. Viejita red pair inside an all male tank once the female breed, the pair goes on a killing spree. So this time, going to just stick to the main plan.

How big is your tank? Intend to add how many more to your collection?
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way

Its just a 2ft Tank so can't put too much.Intend to have 1 or maximum 2 more but all depends on how the rest are doing.Actually im stock it up as trying to minimize the aggression on one particular male.So far so good as there is no dominant male in the tank.
If that's the case, then you are lucky.. male dominance is rather common in a all male tank,..

Yup thats true so thats why there's quite a few in the tank so that there couldnt be any dominant male. But now considering whether to introduce Broad body Apisto as so far all of them are slender body. Not sure how bad will the effect be.

Thought caca has a board body?

Caca is a broad body apisto, like leeruisheng mentioned.
i've read somewhere before that a bunch of male apistos can be kept in a community tank successfully without too much aggression...looks like outspoken here has successfully proved that right =)
having a group of individuals to spread aggression seems to be quite a tried and tested way of minimising aggression in cichlids...this theory is also widely used for discus (recommended at least 5 in a group) as well, and i think with angelfish and african cichlids too (i've read about it in convicts)

Oops my mistake. Its just that my caca is still a sub adult so the body haven't fully broaden that forget its a broad body apisto.
Bro illumnae, actually i decided to tried it after seeing the former Sam Yick at Pet Safari at Simei quite some time ago. They used to have a large tank with quite a lot of apisto in it and it was very impressive but there are also some casualties.
I agree with that concept of that theory but that theory is used for the same type of species/variant in the same tank. For apisto, if your having the same species/variant then there bound to be 1 very dominant and colourful while the rest will look dull.
so what im trying to do will be slightly different with the different species/variant inside the same tank.Actually most people will find it risky or rather inappropriate but somehow i love to sit in front of my tank and stare at all the different species flaring their finnage. Best part is once im standing in front of the tank, all of the them will "fall in" as though waiting for me to feed them.![]()

i used to have a 2 feet tank housing about 10 different kind of apisto. apart from the occasion of flaring at each other, they lived together quite well. alot of hiding space is a must. love to see them during feeding time, all of them will come out.

Is it possible to take a shot of your tank to see how you place your plants (hiding places) so that you can house 10 apistos?

sorry bro, have already erase pic from my pc. normally tanks with lots of hiding place like woods , plants is very good for them. normally they will stick to their own territory.

Had 3 of the same and 2 RAMs in a 2 feet tank before. The dominant male will be the nicest while the most timid one suffered.
