There are too many beautiful fishes in Peninsular Malaysia.....& I think I need to take at least 5 years to travel around my country to photograph those fishes.

During my last trip to Pahang, I spent half day to explore the rivers & mountain streams of Pahang. Below are some pictures I took during the trip:

    A tributary of Sungai Pahang:

    A forest stream of Pahang:

Hill stream catfish, Glyptothorax platypogon (?)

Hill stream catfish has a species organ called "thoracic adhesive organ" which helps the fish to cling on the rock in the fast flowing stream.

The hill stream loach is much bigger & more berautiful than the one I found in Borneo. This one below is Homaloptera orthogoniata:

The under side of Homaloptera orthogoniata:

An unidentified species of hill stream loach, Homaloptera sp.

Most probably Luciosoma setigerum (in situ):

Flying fox, Crossocheilus sp. (Probably C. siamensis ???)

Flying fox, Crossocheilus sp. (same species as above):

I'm standing next to one of the biggest waterfalls in Pahang:

Darkness fall....it's time to go back to Kuala Lumpur city.
