hi all, im having some problems here.
currently having a 1.5ft tank running on chiller.
i have a CL 280 connected to a 900l/hr pump head which output is from a rainbar.
currently set the desired temperature to 24 deg.
the chiller will run for abt 3 mins then roughly after 10 plus mins, it will kick start again.
is this normal? or that my pump is not strong enough to run the chiller?

Do you have an external thermometer reading for your tank ?

Did it hit the 23-25C that you want or ???

Where do you place your chiller and have you check you pipping to see if there are any kinks etc that is limiting your flow ?

    Just some inputs.

Lights on and lights off the same ?

Check your water flow output. High possibility due to slower flow rate . Clean your piping and filter, but this is not long term solution. One day the problem will come back again, the lifespan of the chiller will be shorten.

Best to use a thermostat with external sensor/probe.

    Look up in the forum.

Thermostat is more than a thermometer. After mesured the temperature, it has a relay to turn on/off another circuit. In a chiller case, it supply power or cut off power at a pre-set temperature. A chiller is not suppose to run continually non-stop.
