Just a note that those at C328 are mostly hybrids, and not the "true" Endler's livebearers (Poecilia wingei).

Hmm, can't tell, need a better picture. When you bought it, what is it labelled as?

If the fish is extremely colourful (like a guppy), and/or have many reticulated patterns, and/or very fanciful tails, it is most possibly a hybrid. You can compare the hybrids with the wild strains on http://www.swampriveraquatics.com.

There is quite a number of wild strain P. wingei developed by Swamp River Aquatics. I would use them as a reference, so anything that doesn't look remotely like one of the wild strains from them, I would be highly suspicious of their origin, though sometimes, it may not be all conclusive.

Don't forget, local hobbyists (as well as overseas) are also known to be crossing them with guppies/mollies/platies already. So there seems to be a lot more hybrids out there than we realise.

    Thanks guys for your reply.

I just got 2 pairs from a LFS. Not sure it is true or hybrid. I will check the web to confirm. I personally prefer true endler for now.

Anyway, hope it will survive in my tank. I used to keep guppy but cannot make it. Not to sure the reason as other fishes is OK. I presume endler and guppy has the same requirement...thus worry.
