They have not coloured up properly yet, and some damaged fins due to the travel, but a quick look at three characins I got from a new Bangkok fish shop.

The rare third species of bleed heart tetra Hyphessobrycon pyrrhonotus, when coloured up the dorsal flank is pink/red coloured. Had to threaten bodily harm to the shopkeeper just to get one specimen

    Pyrrhulina vittata

    and some peruvian tetra

Wow! Most of them travelled pretty well, except for the last one which shows a bit of fin burn. I thought Pyrrhulina vittata was previously available here?

Pity about the other one you lost through Ranmasatome though...

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Is it me or does the dorsal flank not looking as pink/red coloured? I thought it looks a little pale, not coloured up? If not, a coloured up picture pretty please?
