just added 2 more bags of flourite and moved all my plants around.just want some input for designs and can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is it started off from the store on flat rock with mesh on it. it fell apart on me in a couple days. looked like a bunch of small round leaves floating in my tank, what a mess, got it meshed up again and started to grow like this, any input would be awsome,

    Hi bro,

If my newbie knowledge did not let me down, I think that plants of yours is Riccia. But strange, it should float since not tied to a mesh, did you purposely plant it in the substrate or am I wrong in identifying?

More info about Riccia can be found here:

hi there would be better if u can hide the filter at the right bottom of yr tank with big plants or maybe some driftwood. this would definetly make yr tank look more naturer.

Not all riccia floats. I've the sinking riccia at the moment. A contaminent from other plants. It's got a dull darker green appearance.

Even if your riccia grows out of the mesh, the yamatos will be pulling them out and causing them to float on the surface again.

I think for the aquascape you can find some inspiration from the recent ADA winners. You'll notice that the use hardscape[wood/rocks] to help create a sense of depth in the tank.
