just added 2 more bags of flourite and moved all my plants around.just want some input for designs and can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is it started off from the store on flat rock with mesh on it. it fell apart on me in a couple days. looked like a bunch of small round leaves floating in my tank, what a mess, got it meshed up again and started to grow like this, any input would be awsome,

Hi bro,
If my newbie knowledge did not let me down, I think that plants of yours is Riccia. But strange, it should float since not tied to a mesh, did you purposely plant it in the substrate or am I wrong in identifying?
More info about Riccia can be found here:

i just renetted this one hasnt started growing through net yet i think it is riccia

hi there would be better if u can hide the filter at the right bottom of yr tank with big plants or maybe some driftwood. this would definetly make yr tank look more naturer.

the power head is going bye bye soon, just saving up for co2 sys just ttrying to find better deal than $300 for premade kit from LFS i have 2 2ltr pop bottle diy under tank running through power head then rain bar at bottom to disperse, as a temp its working good, lots more bubbles on plants than 2 weeks ago tall plant on left back is flowering, grew 7 inch over night!!!![]()

Your plant grew 7 inches overnight?
visit my photo albums @ flickr!

the flower stem grew 7 inch one night another 3 inch last night flower head is 2 inch long now, have to leave lid open a bit out of water 2 inch. a little off topic im having a problem with my whisper 60, only temp till i can afford better, but its making a hell of a racket, took it apart, cleaned, inspected, sounds like marbles in it??? maybe shaft bent, driving me NUTS. are they known for this, whats a good filter to get for planted, price/quality??

Not all riccia floats. I've the sinking riccia at the moment. A contaminent from other plants. It's got a dull darker green appearance.
Even if your riccia grows out of the mesh, the yamatos will be pulling them out and causing them to float on the surface again.

God will make a way, where there seems to be no way

Bro, did you tie this yourself or bought it at the fish shop? Looking at the relatively broader leaves, I think this is Glossostigma or APP and I'm quite sure that this isnt Riccia.

I think for the aquascape you can find some inspiration from the recent ADA winners. You'll notice that the use hardscape[wood/rocks] to help create a sense of depth in the tank.
