Its a very good filter for small tanks. Very quiet when in operation, robust and maintenance is easy too.

Not forgeting can be hang on the tank also.
A rough gauge will be 1 blue note for the filter.

Anyone know whether the outlet can be directed to a co2 reactor ?

I won't suggest a reactor with the eden501, It's flowrate is too slow to diffuse the c02 especially if you are using a reactor. Haven't tried it yet, just giving my opinion though.

The bracket for the filter is sold separately. Cost around 1 red note.

What is the bracket for? I bought this filter at C328 just last week. Great filter! Very good for my 25cm x 25cm tank

For you to hang the filter on at the back of the tank.

Eden 501 has worked really fine for me... I have 2 units actually

It cost roughly a blue note... so far I know of these lfs that are selling but but they might not have stock so it is better to call them before you make the trip down.

lfs like NA, C328, Petmart do have Eden 501...

    Hope this helps

one factor that cause me not to buy it is that it must be placed on the same level of tank. Can't put in under the tank or floor.

This Eden filter is small and motor might not be able to take the pressure if you place it under your tank...

I just place it behind my tank and it still looks neat

got it from c328. It is working fine. only thing I am a bit worried is overheat as it says the max temp is 35 degree only. Another thing is I don't know where to get the media (sponge) although it is not urgent for now.

Got 8kg Gex soil also. water became cloudy after I planted the plant. hope it won't happen again when i change water.

    Thanks pals.

Well, Eden 501 is a great filter..Very silent and the flowrate is great for a 25cm x 25cm tank.
