they work well for non-co2 tanks but what about tanks with co2 injection?

    i have a pretty low lit tank (3x80W t5 for 6ft) with co2 mist.
i'm thinking of adding some frogbits or salvinia to block some light for my aro
    and nanas.

if we were to add floaters like salvinias, frogbits, duckweeds etc
wouldn't they absorb the nutrients meant for the submersed plants?
    Cheers,

Yes they do absorb nutrient, so make sure you dose enough nutrient for all. Floater probably take the CO2 for atmosphere, thus they grow fast even on non-CO2 tank.
