Urgent my need a new canister filter to replace my spoil on

My Astro canister filter have finally given up living after less than a year. And i need a replacement filter immediately, can anyone kindly let me know where can i go to get the best price for ehiem filter and what model do i need? Mine is a 3 feet planted tank.
And what should i do to my old and new filter when i get them, hopefully by tomorrow?

I am on a real tight budget cause i never expect the Astro filter to fail so fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Nature Aquarium opposite Thomsom Medical Centre. BTW what happen to your filter which part fail ?

Try Nature Aquarium at Thomson Rd, opposite Thomson Medical Centre... full contact details in LFS List. Chan, the owner, can give you good advice on which model to get.

Once you get the new filter, at least half of the sintered glass (or equivalent) should be from the old filter. This is to kick start the bacteria colonies in the new filter media.

If your planted tank is healthy and heavily planted, it should be able to tahan quite a few days without a filter. Of course, the sooner the better.

My filter have been making loud noises for the pass few weeks and in that time when i clean the canister it takes me 3 hrs to get the whole thing started again. Then today when i get home from school, my tanks become very dirty, must be due to backflow and the noise made by the filter become very loud. I then open up the canister but i have problem getting it to work again and then the motor stop working altogether. i really dunno what is teh real problem man, just pure bad luck i guess.

Check your impeller. could be the problem part.May accept Eheim part.

if your tank is dirty... KEEP LIGHTS OFF... you might just get an algae bloom...
