    Hi Veggieboy,

Both the caridina and neocaridina genus of shrimps are grouped under dwarf shrimps and yamato/amano shrimps belong to the caridina while cherry shrimps belong to the neocaridina genus. If you are going to breed yamato/amano shrimps, please understand that their larva requires a certain level of salinity, so because of this, I have never attempted to breed them although I kept them in my tanks in the past.

Anyway, this thread is off topic, so this will end here.

    regards,
    Shi Xuan

    Hi veggieboy,

I've split out your introduction into a separate thread.

Welcome to AQ! We're glad to have you here and hope you will enjoy the hobby with us.

By the way, please take the effort to spell properly in our forums. We strongly discourage SMS type of abbreviation such as wad, thx, pls, u, ur, tml, etc, etc. You get the point. If you posts contains such abbreviations, you will find them disappearing very, very fast. Just a point you might want to take note.

Also, do make use of the search function. It can give you instant answers to a lot of questions you have in your mind.

    Thanks!! And see you around!!

    Cheers,

p.s. the fishes in my avatar are clown killifishes.
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Oops. My bad on the spelling.

Thanks for the reminder as well as the splitting of my thread!
I'll keep the tips in mind too.
