IMHO, it can be planted anywhere, depeding on the result you want. For me, I prefer to put it as centerpiece. This requires lots of care to ensure the beauty & not shadowing other plants.

This plant requires good fertile substrate to grow well.

for me. i plant it in the midground. do not plant in the foreground as it can grow quite tall and overshadow your foreground plants

IMHO it depend on your scape. I suggest you take photo of your scape or draw scatch, that way other bro in this forum can give better advice.

The plant can be kept small and low enough with cup sized leaves, but may as well becoming a giant with palm sized leaves that soars to the surface. The addition of fertile substrate will definately boost the growth rate. The plant seems to know well what is best for it, once it reaches surface it will try again with a quick shot.

So it can be quite flexible on where you use it. Just put in desired part and play with to get the desired effect. If you want it to be a low growing plant, keep cutting taller leaves. Leave it high and it may grow bigger, overshadowing and overtaking your tank.
