Their 3ft cube garden isn't so expensive actually...but you will have to find ways to get it in singapore. i haven't seen one in singapore yet.. in fact i haven't even seen an ADA 2ft clear glass tank in singapore as well... i had to bring mine in on my own.

However, after you get the tank..the rest can easily be ordered...i think your budget should more than cover it.

    hi there,

all products have their plus points, so it depends on how much you buy in to the theories of each brand. ADA focuses more on natural processes and asthetical display down to the hose. This is clearly reflected in its product design and presentation.

    Setting up
The essential items to grow your plants well are the light bulbs and the substrate system (Aqua soil, power sand, tourmaline bc, clear super, penacW, penacP and bacter100). If you do not wish to get a expensive ADA grand solar, you can always buy a cheaper light panel and replace the bulb with ADA ones, (MH in particular) .

    Hardware
Tanks and pipes can be pre-ordered easily.

    Maintenance (Consumables)
To grow stem plants and foreground plants (eg glosso, hairgrass) fast and nice, I recommend the like of ADA green gain, eca. Phython-git helps to prevent algae growth. Green bacter stimulates bacteria growth and activities and you can add them after each water change.

Liquid fertilization is really up to you, but recommended would be brightyK + Step1-3. After the 3rd month, you can also choose to insert stick ferts like multi-bottom or multi-iron to supplement the cryptocorynes, lilies or echinodorus.

A few other more which is required when you have specific application.

    Maintenance (Hardware)
If you feel rich enough, you can try the pro scissor nude and pro pinsette.

So for liquid fertilizer, its best to use Step1, 2 & 3 together with Brighty K? What's the optimum wattage for a 24G tank and CO2 input (bubbles per second) for the plants to pearl or at least grow well?

You do not need to use all together.

ADA adopts a STEP fertilization regime base on research of what nutrients is in abundance and what will be required at different stage in terms of months. For example:

    STEP 1: 1st - 3rd months after setup
    STEP 2: 3rd - 12th months
    STEP 3: after 1yr

BrightyK can be dose together in each STEP.
Using green gain after water change and trimming helps to release stress on plants and also give better results in thick lush bushes of stem plants and lawns of eg. glosso.

If you following the 3W/G theory, you will need 72W, which will probably be a light set with 2x36W PL.

CO2 really depends on method of diffusion and amount/type of plants you have, ranging from 1bps to 3bps. For plants like glosso, you will need more co2 and strong light to grow well.

About lighting, there aren't really shade or high light plants. Most plants, with correct placement, water temperature and fertilization, grows extremely well under MH lights. You can play with hours of intense lighting to control algae. If you look at eg. cryptocoryne wendtii under PL/FL/T5 and MH, you will see the big differences in growth form.
