I'm currently using lapis sand and I have gotten some nice fine sand from uklau yesterday and was thinking of doing something similar to the white sand "pathway" in my attached picture. Should I dig a trench in my existing lapis, and fill it up with the fine sand, or should I just lay over? Or are there better methods?

Picture is taken off this website:- http://www.adana-th.com/limagegal/thumnail/2007_3.htm
