Personally, I am wary of using copper based medication, in fact, make that all kind of medication. However, I have read that they are quite effective but no experience personally (never had ich, ).

When using medication, make sure you follow the medication instructions very strictly, be on top of the water conditions always and include additional aeration.

For ich or white spot, there are many different types of remedies, other type of medications and even using salt. So you may want to explore the other options. Use the search function provided by AQ, search for "white spot" and you will find many existing discussions.

there are a number of brands of medication that is effective against white spot.
but a cheap solution is heater and plenty of salt. I am not sure how the white cloud will take it. But in the LH days, heater set to 32 degrees and plenty of salt will usually rid the white spot fast. White Spot medication will cost much more than the fish itself.
