Okay, going to get a new tank rather soon. This is my proposed filter, 2 x 2028, adequate or overkill?

More then enough. I am using a 2028 and a 2026 for my 3x1.5x1.8ft tank![]()

For good circulation 2 x 2028 already enough for 422.. I'm using 1 x 2028 for my 422 tank.![]()
i'm using 1x 2028 for my 422 and i find it insufficient in terms of flow.

i'm using a 2028 as bio filter and a faulty Jebo, but no leak, as mech filter in my 4ft tank. Cheaper to run, only need to power the eheim.
Got the filters already. 2x 2028
I will be using a 2 filter configuration.![]()

Go for a 2080.
It may seem to be an overt overkill but it will help you in long run. Flow can be adjusted but my experience is to attached one more rainbar (or some other plastic tube). This way you can manage the flow very well and maintain a planted tank thereby......
