If your yamato is too big and smaller shrimps like malayan or bee are introduce later(than yamato), they will be attacked. Normally new shrimps are a bit slow in new enviroment. Try to get the smaller shrimps first and small yamato later. Hope it helps

sky devil, young man, walking into lor halus should be chicken feet to you lah! old lady me normally take cab all the way to tropical and then walk out, while visiting all the farms/lots along the way. and lot 35f which has the bee shrimps is one of the nearest to pasir ris drive 1's side. good luck!

but since you're going to jln kayu and if there're shrimps there, then go there first. like what's been said, some of lor halus' bee shrimps seemed to have lost their stripes...

2ft tank can accomodate hundreds of shrimps, esp small ones like cherry and malayan. Ryan, I've never seen Yamato attack healthy shrimps, usually those are already half dead when the yamato express interest. You mnight want to watch out for ghost shrimp though, they seem more aggressive or predatorial. Yamatoes are more of a scavenger.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

just returned from sam yicks marine parade:

malayan shrimps, bag of 25's for $6.
    bee shrimps, $1.50 each [:0]

anyway, asked about compatibility. was told that bee shrimps can put with malayan shrimps, but not to put yamato shrimps in... [:]

I took out the big yamatoes, leaving the small ones in. So, can i still put the cherry and bee in first for a few days then i release the big yamatos?
