u can't keep badis badis with the cichlids cos they're territorial. i lost a male badis after it fought with my male caca dwarf in my main community tank.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.

your apistos will be out of place in terms of water requirement.
kribs are still pretty neutral when it comes to water,
but the other 2 are not.
and badis may not be safe in this tank.
how big is the tank?
either way, i think the combi is not ideal.
Tank space only 2ft. Inside got 8 badis, 10 cherry shrimps and 20 yamatos

I dun think you can keep cichlids in such a small tank( relative sense) with badis badis. Even the smaller sized kribs and apistos will bully your badis...![]()

BTW where can i get eygyptian MB from?

8 badis in a 2ft tank is already too many fish...
If you got rid of all but 1 badis, you could possibly keep an Egyptian Mouthbrooder with the badis.

Pacific Flame,
Sorry i am unable to help as regards to where to buy the Egyption Mouthbrooders, as i live in the UK.
But please remember to cut down on the badis if you are adding more fish..actually..you should cut down on the badis even if you arent adding any more fish...

do badis need big spaces?
Lyon © I would rather walk a thousand leagues then to see your ugly face

They dont need too much space, but 8 in that tank is definatly not enough...territorial conflicts, and also the bio-load will be maxed out...

Really? But my tank fully planted......

Skydevil,
Dosnt really matter on the planted issue..Helps some, but not all that much..
I would try to get rid of at least a few badis if possible..really as many as possible...but even a few would help on the bioload.
What filtration have you got?

Overhead filter and Ehiem Canister

Filtration is good enough, but again it is the space issue.

James,
I noticed that badis are relatively small in size. Do they have a big impact on the bioload?
Are they terittorial as compared to cichlids?
Sorry, me know nuts about them.
