    is there anyway i can join smaller rocks onto a piece of rock slab ?

    Actually no..I was just pulling your leg. I think epoxy is good...I will try cement 1 of these days..

    not too sure will it hold, i think joining small pieces should be ok.
    but silicon will be seen at the joints.

    Use silicon, if it can hold our tank's glass pane. It should easily attach small rocks. Use the transparent one. After the stone is being submerged in water, I don't think its that obvious.

    but after awhile it will turn white in the water.... thats what happen in my marine tank...

    Frankly, I'm not too sure of it turning white. Have yet experimented submerging silicon 24/7 myself . Thinking out loud here...could it submerging it in fresh water be different than in marine? Maybe some bros here can help verify.

    Aqua Scape epoxy is suppose to have a grey version fo rock scaping... but I'm not sure which LFS would have it available. Maybe you can check out some of the LFS and see what epoxy they have.
