wow where did you see this beauty? spotted all the way to the caudal! always had a hard time deciding between L128 and high-fin L200, one blue one green but both equally cute!!!

Hi guys,
Haven't seen many large specimens of this species around. Manage to see a 6 to 7 inch one and I'm seriously comtemplating...
Shall I? Shall I not? Hmmm...
So many fishes, too few tanks, even less time.... life is hard...
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Go for it man, make yourself happy.
I also just got one L128 couple of weeks ago, but it's a small one.
No regrets![]()

Yes!!!!!!!
You don't see this often in local shores.
What are you waiting for?
It's NOT "Chee lick", NOT "Chee Chee Licks"!!! Cichlids is pronounced as "Sick Lids"!!!!!

haha if my tank has enough space, i will not hesitate. do update us! bad choice to ask for this kind of opinion in a FISH FORUM! haha...

was at Ben's yesterday night and they have these L128 (blue?).
cannot recall if they had the green ones.
tank space not a problem for now.
they are about 2"...![]()

It is a good day to die!!!
I finally uploaded an avatar and Cupid is dead!!!![]()

The small ones are available at couple of shops.
The interesting ones are the big and mature ones.
L128 is the blue while L200 is the green. L200 more common.

yup quite rare to spot bigger L128s around. hence I will not hesitate if i have enough space in my tankgo for it benny!

oh boy oh boy, you're tempting me! i'm currently searching for a new pleco for my tank around the size of 5 inches, but so far haven't seen anything that's worth buying yet. but now.... hmmm.....

eeeeemo,
Those at C328 recently (Dec 2007) are L200. They are green and yellow instead of blue. If you are looking at a colony of L200, this is a good time to set one up. For L128, only smaller sized fishes are available in the market recently.
The L128 in the picture is one of 2 pieces and they are now with me (ok, I admited I gave in to temptation). Those in the video are taken off the internet. Different specimen altogether.
Cheers,

benny did you check out the prices of those L200 then?
are those at c328 7+inchers (Hemiancistrus subviridis) or the 5+ inchers (Baryancistrus demantoides)?
(Edit: I have split out the question on L200 being two different fishes into a separate thread, http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=35883)

Those in C328 recently, bigger ones were H.subviridis, medium sized ones were B. demantoides. All gone now though
(Edit: Have split out the post on the differences of L200 to the thread mentioned above to faciliate better and more intresting discussions.)
