I believed bee shrimps are the same species as CRS, which also makes it as sensitive as CRS, and less hardy than cherries.
Hey guys,
I have a question on bee shrimps and need your advise.
First, i would like to know if bees are as hardy as cherry, meaning are they easy to keep and breed?
Second, which LFS is selling nice Bee in Singapore (hope this question is posted in the right section of the forum)?
Thank you.

Not hardy...
NA @Blastier and GoNature @Yishun selling...
In the first place, which "Bee" shrimp are you actually referring to? Caridina cf. breviata "Bumble Bee" or Caridina cf. cantonensis "Bee"?
Looks like Madmax is referring to Caridina cf. cantonensis "Bee" while nys is probably referring to Caridina cf. breviata "Bumble Bee".
Hmm... so many types of bee shrimps?Sorry new to shrimps here, not sure which is "better"... Any bros here successfully keep and breed bee shrimps?

Hey Madmax,
Thanks for sharing the pictures. They do look very similar to me (in fact don't really see the difference)...![]()
Those selling at NA and Y618 is which type, bumble bees or bees? Anyone knows?![]()
Check the pictures in the links below, the difference is supposedly this. The entire head of Bumble Bee shrimp is brown, while there is a white band just after the brown nose for Diamond/Bee shrimp.
Caridina cf. cantonensis "Bee" = Bee = Black Bee = Diamond = Black and White Crystal (which is the black form of CRS)
Caridina cf. breviata "Bumble Bee" = Bumble BeeOriginally Posted by www.shrimpnow.com
