    1) yes you can mix CRS and Cherries
    2) depend on what fish you are putting it in?
Boraras briggate, boraras urophthalmoides, or other boraras should be fine.
Bigger fish is no-no. I never have luck mix cichlids with shrimps as well

    Talking

How about Harlequin rasboras? I am keeping about 10+ harlequin rasboras in my 1.5' tank with cherries. Don't know how many cherries there are now, too many too count. Started with 15 harlequin rasboras and about 30 cherries back in February.

You can put neons and cardinals too if you like. One thing to do is to provide lots of hiding place for the shrimps to feel safe with all the fishes swimming around.

Is it? Strange, never encounter that before when I kept my cardinals with my shrimps - including CRS and cherries. The cherries kept multiplying too. To me it's more like the cardinals are the ones hiding. Maybe they come from different clan?

But seriously I don't think cardinals or neons are more aggressive than harlequins.
