I have 4 and they are quite cute, IMO. Quite visible after getting used to the surroundings. Love to hang around where the current is strong and they fight and jostle for the best position. They also 'sweep the floor' sometimes, especially when I throw a sinking food tablet in. Below pic of 3 of them.

I have seen some gigantic wood shrimps. They are about 4~5 inches.[:0] I wonder how long it take for them to grow to that size.

I always wonder if the water column is very clean (good filter!) and there is no exposed substrate (eg fully covered by hairgrass or glosso), how are theses guys going to find food?

and oh, does anyone know for sure if they are indigenous to Singapore? Their scientific name being Atyopsis moluccensis I presume they were first recorded from the Moluccan islands?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

That what puzzles me, hwchoy. Honestly I didn't know much about Singapore shrimp until I've read it from other forum !
Bet if I ask most of my friends, most of them wouldn't be able to tell me much about it.....

Wood Shrimps are like the Whale Shark equivalent of the shrimp world.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
