    Hey bro,
Good to know that you finally got your sakura!

Love the first shrimp... THe colour is nice... The second pic is also a sakura? No offence, but the colour isn't so red... It looks like a cherry also...

    Good work!

Hi guys, all these sakuras were bought from clementi, in my tank i do not house any crs, the only shrimps i have are sakuras, as they were sold to me as sakuras, so i assume they are sakuras! lol!

I think cherries and sakuras are of the same breed and they will breed with each other.

probably just a good way to make $$ with a fancy name.

I see.... am I right to say, by selective breeding, the normal cherries we have at home can also breed out "chilli" red sakura?

I know as a fact, that cherry shrimp cohorts usually throw up a few percent of "super red" specimens. these guys are extremely red with larger and denser spots, and remains so throughout their lives.

Look guys the 2nd shrimp in the second picture has became much redder, that day was probably due to stress. Am sure as its the only sakura thats pregnant.

Compare the redness between the poor grade crs and sakura.

i think the sakuras are sold out? i manage to get a pack, when i asked the owner of the lfs, they said it will take awhile before they start selling again due to the sakuras being very small in size.

Real Sakura shrimps are marine shrimps, they are white in colour until caught they will turn pinkish to reddish in colour.
It is a delicacy in Japan.
