hi guys, i've got a few questions on lionfish

is lionfish endangered or restricted for sales in singapore? it looks so exotic, furthermore its venomous

also, if lets say i were to get a lionfish and it died on me what will be the proper way to dispose the body. i dont want the workers handling the garbage to get envenomed.

thanks alot. just some questions i have needing answers

Restriction wise I do not know. I am not aware that it is also endangered. For disposing of dead lionfish, perhaps you could wrap it in newspaper and cover in plastic bag and tie the bag up so that it does not unwrap while going down the chute.

I applaud your concern on the well being of the garbage disposal worker from coming into contact with the fish. On another note, please take extreme care while handling this species of fish. While I may wish that you do not purchase this species because it's venomous , I do know it's your choice to make. So please be careful and be forewarned that you ARE handling a dangerous species.

    erm, what about feeding?

i read somewhere that freshwaters feeders are insufficient to feed marine fishes as freshwater fish lack some kind of nutrient.. i think it was amino acid (not really sure)

is it possible to train it to take MP or other shellfish. i've also seen videos the lionfishes take in pellet foods

.. buying $1 clownfish as feeders is abit sad

chromis, damselfish and any other cheap marine fishes. Well,if you want to keep the lionfish, you have to feed it.
