Ocean Free's Root Monster is a substrate insert in pellet form, bonded together forming a trapezium geometry.
Wonder-Gro Root+ is similar in terms that it is also a substrate insert which means you use it by inserting the body of fert into the substrate and let the roots of the plant to utilise it.
Root+ has the shape of a normal tablet, easy to manipulate, insert or broken when needed. It also withstand some time in water collumn before disintegrating so you can buy enough luxury time to insert it.
Performace wise, it is not the place for me as an affiliate to comment.
