I'm passing my CO2 using an airstone in my sump with the stone direct at the intake of the pump,
Seems quite dissolved for me maybe you can try and then observe
Hi folks,
I am getting quite sick of having to take out my diffuser and soaking them in bleach regurlarly.
Recently, I got a crazy idea. As I am running a sump system, I was wondering if it is a viable option to just connect my co2 tubes to airstones, and place the airstones under my filter media in on of the compartments of in my sump. The bubbles will flow upwards, through the media, aided by water flow and gets dissolved (hopefully), no more unsightly air tubes in the tank, no need to run extra powerhead to power a reactor, no more bleaching algae clogged diffuser.
Only concern, will the beneficial bacteria in the sump be able to take the extra 3-4 bps of co2? I think should be no problem right?

Hi Heeroyu16,
I suppose the number of bubbles is too little to cause any problems for the pump right?
Yar I can try that as well. Thanks for sharing.
