PL tubes from CR aquarium (24w x 2)

Hi all,

Wondering if you've read the ad by CR aquarium on Saturday on their new PL tubes.

I called them today and they told me that theirs are PL tubes using e-ballast. For a 3 ft tank, I need only 24w x 2. Supposedly brighter than the 336w x 2 from flourescent tubes. Best part is- costs only $59!!

Just wondering if any of you have actually seen this product and whether the claim (that their 24w x 2 is brighter than a flourescent 36 w x 2) is true.

Also, are there similar products for cheaper/equivalent price in S'pore?

something puzzling, how can a lower wattage be brighter than a higher one when both r PL? i go read the ad

sorry if I misled you, what they said was 24w PL being brighter than 36w flourescent.
