My company has a few people who got the call. It is quite interesting that those who received the calls in my company are ex-Chinese nationals. And apparently, the person who called seems to be from China.

my friend's friend kena this call.....in the end he chose to go take a look whether that person is working in court house and true enough no such person.heng never part his money..

i got this call as well, the caller tryig to get me to go into some convention.

Beware people.... this scam is still going on. 2 weeks ago, several of my colleagues got this call.

I got the call too in the office... but in voice mail.
Apparently, it is a recorded message in mandarin that repeats itself over and over, prompting you to press #09, which will then connect you to it's operator.
A bit like fishing...
