    hi guys,

was wondering how much it would be to get a 2ft pl light? 2x36watts. am intending to go down Nature to check it out but it seems to be closed this week. are there any other alternatives for lighting?

    E. ballast type will definitely cost more but in long run, save $ on electric bill n purchase of PL. Normal ballast type are those with starter(blink when turn on) and produce much more heat.

2ft fixtures don't usually come in 2X36W. Prolly you would have to find custom made ones instead. You best place would be NA Nature. Unfortunately, they would be close for this week.
    Cheers!!

Turaco is right...if you got $ buy the e-ballast. The lights will not generate too much heat and don't flicker when you on it. Aside from Nature, I don't know where else can you get e-balast. I think Nature offers a good reasonable price. Remember to ask for 6500K (i.e.Kelvin) light for planted tank and 9500K or 10000K for marine light.

e-ballast can be found at electrical shops. A good area to look around are the elec shops around sungei rd and Sim Lim Tower (not Square).
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.

    Hi,

need help too in getting PL lights by this week. If not, I'll have to do some hunting in KL or wait for NA to open again. Anyone knows if there's other shops selling or helping people to make custom 2ft PL lights? Have you all heard of Migoto at kaki bukit, shun li industrial estate? If so, do they got anything good worth looking for?

Sorry cos I dun have the time to DIY lights cos I'm busy cycling the water in the tank to reduce my nitrate and nitrite levels.
    Regards,
    Brigitte

    Hi

Me juz bought the 2X36W PL light from Nature. It costs me exactly S$100. Very happy with the lights and think should not save on that aspect. Cool silver casing with stands as well.

    Hey, anyone knows if Chan sells a 1x36W 2ft light set or a 1x36W + 1x18W 2ft light set?
