Yes.. it will..i think.. depending on what the exact details are..

Depends on where you want to put it and what the details of the setup is..

From acrylic shops... i know bras basah has one.. that sells specifically acrylic..but also got art friends and stuff there.. can check it out.

Size: 1 ft cube X 45cm height
Light 13 watt. Enough? 8 hours a day
Inhabitants: a betta, a tetra, an oto and a few small frogs(i have a green back, a fourlined and copper cheeked tree frog metamorphosizing soon)
Plants.. not sure. pitcher plant(N. bicalcarata), clubmoss, and some aquarium plants usually grown emmersed(downoi?) . Mini sword plant in the water part.

details of how you want to set the tank up.. where you want to place your plants.. top view of your tank.. how much water you intend to put in...what kind of plants you want to put in there... type of gravel you want to use... how you want to layer your gravel.... how much filtration you intend to use... whether you mind people seeing your filter inlet and outlet... do you intend to mist the vivarium using the filter out put... and lots more..

i dont think i will be putting filter since very few fish... gravel for water part i using magicsoil!!!

approx 1/3 water but the separating piece of acrylic will be slanted so will be abit more.
change 20% water every week or more if required

Hi Isotope, i believe you're embarking on a new vivarium project. First i suggest that you do not use magicsoil as in the long run, it'll become mushy and bears an unbearable foul smell to it. Another issue you might want to consider is to have a simple but yet practical way to divide your land area and water area.

What you can do is to have a strip of acrylic, running the width of your tank, have some slits or minute holes on it to allow for water flow but small enough not to have fishes swim through.

For aesthetic wise, try applying silicon to the acrylic piece and slap on cork barks or stones or just simply sand. It'll do the trick just as well.

As for the land area, you could fill it up with Leca clay pellets, pea size or the bigger ones. Filtration is possible with an Eden 501.

These are just a few main basic points which perhaps you could re think on your design layout.

Perhaps you could post up a reference picture so we could assist your further on your planning of your vivarium.

Won't the soil become water logged?

this tank is mainly for my froggies so i dont think i will install a filter...

My suggestion is to eliminate soil altogether and have pea sized leica clay pellets instead. In this manner, there'll be 'breathing spaces' in between the pellets for air and water to coincide together thus not having it foul. And when your plants have established their root systems amongst the leica pellets, they'll counter as biological filtration as well.
